Teaching the French art of living

The French art of living is an attitude that can be taught and cultivated through its practice. Among those who embody it and bring it to life, the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

100 years of humanism, inclusivity, sharing, and cultural enrichment. This place, which describes itself as ‘a humanist space open to the world,’ and ‘a campus for welcoming talents from around the globe,’ brings that mission to life every day by opening its doors to students, artists, and researchers from all over the world, even more so when they are fleeing their countries.

What stands out in this approach, and what makes it a place that truly reflects the French art of living, is the desire to welcome the world, grounded in shared values while respecting each individual’s culture. This is symbolized by the 47 houses, each built by and in the architectural style of their respective countries, or by a foundation to express values of humanity and creativity.

The ADN has dedicated an article to this remarkable institution. What better way to illustrate the modern relevance and importance of its mission, especially today.
